"This year’s East Jordan Fall Fest will be held Saturday, September 29th. We hope to grow and extend our 4th annual Fall Fest event to be even bigger and better than years before. This is a one-day event from 12:00 pm-10:00 pm and is hosted by the East Jordan Tourist Park. Fall Fest is a fundraiser for the East Jordan Parks Department along with being a wonderful community event for everyone to enjoy. The day’s activities include live music with three different performances, Co-Ed Softball Tournament, beer, craft and domestic, wine, food trucks, farmers market, craft show, kids activities, tractor wagon rides, camping with a campsite decoration competition, trick-or-treating and much more. We would love for you to join us for this event either as a sponsor, vendor or participant!"

American Red Cross Blood Drive - Community Service Project The Rotary Club of East Jordan Rotary is now working in conjunction with the East Jordan Lions Club on a joint community service project. The two clubs will assist in the setup and tear down for local blood drives through the American Red Cross. Rotarians would be responsible for the tear down of the tables, chairs and other equipment used and stored locally. Rotarians, three or four, will be asked to sign up as requested via Club Runner or club meetings. Those who sign up should appear at the blood drive sight at 5:45 P.M. on the prescribed day. The next American Red Cross Blood Drive is scheduled for Tuesday, October 2, 2018. Please show your support and sign up. The Lingap Center Manager, Jojin Ladroma, will also be at the presentation and is excited to meet some of the people (us) that have supported the center in the past and will be supporting the center this year. Heavy hors d’oeuvres - we will serve philippine-inspired hors d'oeuvres ($10 per person), so we are asking for an RSVP. The GreenLight East Jordan Business Model Competitions will bring together businesses that have been in existence for two years or less with new start-up ventures. Competitors who impress a panel of judges can win up to $10,000 in cash prizes, as well as network with angel and venture capital investors and other entrepreneurs from the local area. The top 3 winners of the GreenLight East Jordan will receive an automatic bid into the Grand Event held by Northern Lakes Economic Alliance, with the opportunity to win up to $15,000 in additional prizes. Created and sponsored by Spartan Innovations, and local businesses, the event aims to expand entrepreneurship and small business success in the East Jordan and Northern Michigan area. 2018 again features the Student Competition, where finalists will compete for $1,000. |
