The Rotary Club of East Jordan is proud to recognize the outstanding achievements of its Rotary International Youth Exchange students, Sacha Biecher-Lahaye and Landon Speer, as both celebrate their recent graduations.
Sacha Biecher-Lahaye, the Club’s inbound exchange student from France, was honored for his active involvement in the Business Professionals of America (BPA) program. His participation reflects the spirit of leadership, service, and global understanding that the Rotary Youth Exchange program strives to foster. Sacha has spent the last year in East Jordan and will return home to France next month.
Landon Speer, the Club’s outbound exchange student from East Jordan, will soon embark on a year-long exchange experience in Colombia. Landon graduated with Cum Laude honors, recognizing his academic excellence, and also received distinction from the Sociedad Honoraria Hispánica for his achievements in Spanish language studies.
“These students exemplify the very best of what Youth Exchange represents—academic excellence, cultural engagement, and a commitment to personal growth,” said a Clif Porter, head of the Youth Exchange Program at the Rotary Club of East Jordan. “We are incredibly proud of both Sacha and Landon and look forward to seeing all they accomplish in the future.”
The Rotary International Youth Exchange program provides students with the opportunity to experience new cultures, develop leadership skills, and build lifelong connections across the globe. The Rotary Club of East Jordan extends its heartfelt congratulations to both graduates and wishes Landon a safe and enriching journey ahead in Colombia.
